The Thunderbolt Track Club was founded by Gerald “Coach Chris” Christensen in the early 1960’s to provide track opportunities to female athletes that, at the time, weren’t provided the same opportunities as male runners. During the next 50 years it became one of the premier running clubs for male and female track athletes in NE Kansas.  Many alumni went to obtain college track scholarships and run professionally. Angie Barry was one of those athletes and an excellent role model for younger runners. We encourage you to support the Angie Barry Memorial 5K.
